NOW HIRING: Landscape / Hardscape Crew Lead
Austin Green NC, Inc. - Monroe, NC area
Austin Green NC is growing and looking for an experienced Crew Lead to lead our hardscape and landscape installations. If you take pride in building it right the first time and can lead a crew in the field, we want to talk to you.
This is a full-time, year-round position for someone who knows hardscape base work inside and out.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead a 2-4 person crew on daily installs - set the pace, maintain quality, and keep jobs safe and clean
Hardscape Installation: Proper excavation, grading, and installation of paver and retaining wall base - including geotextile, ABC / crusher run, compaction, screeding, etc.
Install paver patios, walkways, driveways, and retaining walls / seat walls to spec
Grading and site prep with skid steer and mini skid steer
Planting, sod, mulch, and bed prep
Drainage systems - French drains, channel drains, downspout tie-ins
Irrigation installation and repairs
Communicate with management and clients on-site, keep trucks / equipment maintained
Must Haves:
Proven experience of proper base preparation (including pitch, depths, and elevations), paver/wall installation.
Valid NC Driver's License with clean driving record - Required. Must be insurable and able to drive company truck/trailer
2+ years landscape / hardscape install experience.
Experience operating skid steer / mini skid / excavator - able to fine grade
Knowledge of proper drainage installation.
Able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors year-round, and keep a job site professional
Reliable, on-time, and takes ownership
Preferred:
NC Pesticide license, ICPI / NCMA certification, or equipment certs are a plus but not required
Bilingual is a plus

Competitive pay based on experience - $[24-28]/hr for qualified leads + overtime
Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule [with some Saturdays in peak season]
