About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Consumer Lending to oversee and direct the operations of the Consumer Lending Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and compliant delivery of consumer loans to members through various channels, as well as managing the department's central loan underwriting, processing, and funding. This role also involves chairing the Collections and Loss Mitigation Work-out Committee, recommending changes to underwriting guidelines, and ensuring the department meets annual and quarterly consumer lending growth and retention goals. The Vice President will be a key leader in the development and implementation of new consumer loan products and delivery channels and will be expected to maintain strong relationships with key lending partner vendors. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' progressively responsible consumer lending experience, including 5-7 years in a management role. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in sales and relationship management, as well as experience in indirect lending management and project formation and implementation. The Vice President will be expected to have a deep understanding of the consumer lending industry, including underwriting, risk management, and credit bureaus, and to be proficient in financial analysis and risk-based pricing. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and to interact professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.
