Purpose Statement The job of Psychologist Assistant is performed to provide support to the school psychology program with specific responsibilities for implementing test protocols and procedures as directed by the school psychologist, providing accurate translation during the testing and evaluation process, and communicating with students and parents. This position reports to the Psychologist. Essential Functions Attends meetings and in‑service presentations (e.g., staff meetings, regulatory updates) to acquire or convey information relevant to job functions. Collects student information (e.g., demographic data, circumstantial information) for preparing reports and processing forms. Communicates with internal and external personnel (e.g., school psychologists, parents) to convey and receive required information. Establishes positive relationships with students, parents, and during home visits to ensure a positive client experience. Inputs data into the student information system (e.g., record updates, scheduling) to maintain accuracy and availability of data. Maintains meeting areas (e.g., appropriate lighting, free of clutter) to create a comfortable, supportive environment. Manages assigned projects and activities (e.g., reports, goals) to meet established timelines and objectives. Monitors behavior plans (e.g., meeting dates, data input) to ensure student compliance with established plans. Prepares written documents and materials (e.g., correspondence, program descriptions, parent notices) to document activities, provide reference, or convey information. Provides ongoing feedback to appropriate parties (e.g., parents, psychologist) to keep all parties informed of student progress. Researches a variety of topics (e.g., current practices, data codes) to provide information or recommendations addressing administrative requirements. Translates verbal and written communication (e.g., during testing) to assist school psychologists, students, and parents in communication. Qualifications Experience: Job‑related experience is desired. Education: 60 hours of verifiable college credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning. Preferred: Enrollment in an education program. Clearances IVP (Identity Verified Print) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
