(b) Physical/Sensory Demands: Fast paced working environment, extensive computer usageAbility to and comfort with maintaining professional and supervisory relationships over long distance; extensive use of telephonic communications and video conferencing. Salary Range: $158,000 - $165,000 The salary offered for the role will be based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, internal equity, and the candidate's qualifications/professional experience.

- Provide strategic leadership for NeighborWorks America's national homeownership, financial capability, and lending portfolio, advancing equitable and sustainable pathways to homeownership.
- Shape and implement enterprise-level strategies that address systemic barriers and racial wealth inequities in access to homeownership, mortgage finance, and financial stability.
- Ensure national homeownership initiatives align with corporate priorities, Network needs, and evolving policy, market, and capital environments.
- Lead the design, oversight, and continuous improvement of national programs and initiatives related to homeownership promotion, housing counseling, financial capability, and lending.
- Provide executive oversight of federally, foundation, and privately funded programs, ensuring accountability for outcomes, compliance with funding requirements, and effective stewardship of funder relationships.
- Establish and monitor performance indicators for homeownership business lines; use data, evaluation, and Network input to assess impact and refine strategies.
- Provide strategic direction to departmental data and analytics functions to support data-driven decision making, performance management, and a culture of learning and inquiry.
- Leverage research, market analysis, and Network performance data to identify trends, inform strategy, and strengthen the sustainability and scale of homeownership services.
- Lead and develop a diverse, geographically distributed team of professional staff, providing clear direction, performance management, coaching, and opportunities for growth.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture aligned with NeighborWorks' mission, values, and commitment to racial equity.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, resource allocation, and organizational practices to support departmental goals.
- Serve as NeighborWorks America's senior subject-matter expert on homeownership programs and lending, providing strategic advice to senior leadership, officers, and the Board.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with federal agencies, Government Sponsored Enterprises, funders, industry groups, peer intermediaries, and practitioners to advance innovation, best practices, and capital access.
- Represent NeighborWorks at national forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings; deliver executive-level presentations and written analyses on programmatic and policy issues.
- Collaborate with Resource Development and Public Relations teams to support funding and communications strategies related to homeownership and lending initiatives.
- Work across the National Initiatives Division and with Field, Organizational Assessment, Training, and NeighborWorks Services divisions to ensure integrated, responsive support to the Network.
- Lead or contribute to corporate projects, cross-departmental initiatives, and special assignments, and support the Senior Vice President of National Initiatives as requested.
- Provides senior-level supervision and leadership for a team of program managers and professional staff. Responsible for hiring, performance management, coaching, professional development, and succession planning. Exercises authority through subordinate managers and leads a function with significant strategic and operational impact.
- Considerable knowledge of home ownership business development, including counseling and financial capability, single family mortgage finance and lending.
- Experience managing a diverse team of staff, including remote workers.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex and large-scale programs in a fast paced team environment paired with the ability to meet critical deadlines. This includes managing budgets, timelines and coordinating with a diverse group that will include but not be limited to staff, consultants, and advisors from within and outside the NeighborWorks
- Strong analytical skills and business problem solving skills needed to initiate and prepare studies, surveys, and reports, as well as recommend/implement system solutions.
- Significant exposure to and understanding of community based non-profits.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal & written communication skills.
- Accomplishments that reflect teamwork, integrity, effectiveness and efficiency - including demonstrated leadership, ability to influence and bring about consensus, and to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others and successfully interact with people at all management and support levels, as well as people of diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Ability to develop high-level professional relationships, coordinating with national and local partners, and fundraising.
- Demonstrated commitment to racial equity, diversity and inclusion.
