We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our production team as a Komori GL540 Press Helper / Operator Trainee .

This is an entry-level position with a defined advancement path. You do not need to already be a lead press operator. We are looking for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade, takes pride in their work, is dependable, and has the ability to develop into a professional sheetfed press operator.

You will work alongside experienced operators on our Komori GL540 5-color sheetfed press and receive hands-on training in press operation, paper handling, color, quality control, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.

What You'll Do

• Assist the press operator with daily production.
• Stage paper, plates, ink, coatings, and other materials.
• Verify paper stock, size, quantity, and job specifications.
• Load and unload paper.
• Assist with feeder and delivery setup.
• Assist with plate, ink, and coating changes.
• Clean blankets, cylinders, and press components.
• Perform routine press cleaning and assigned preventive maintenance.
• Monitor printed sheets for obvious quality problems.
• Maintain accurate production and waste counts.
• Keep the press and surrounding work area clean and organized.
• Follow established safety procedures.
• Learn to read and understand production job tickets.
• Learn basic CMYK color, registration, paper, ink, and coating concepts.
• Learn the fundamentals of operating the Komori GL540.

Printing experience is helpful but not required .

Experience with manufacturing equipment, machinery, automotive/mechanical work, warehouse operations, printing, packaging, or other production environments is a plus.
