In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S. Job Description We are looking for a Senior Industrial Automation Specialist – Industrial Controls to join our REXEL team located in Tampa, FL! Rexel Automation delivers automation and control solutions across Florida, partnering with leading OEMs and Users to design, specify, and support practical industrial systems for a wide range of markets. We are growing our Rockwell-focused offering and looking for a technically strong specialist to help expand our footprint in the region. As a Rockwell Industrial Control Specialist, you should know a mix of product knowledge, application know-how, and customer-facing skills. You will serve as a key technical resource for integrators and end users, working closely with our Sales Team, Rockwell and other partners to design, demonstrate, and support panel and control solutions. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll help drive growth, develop customer relationships, and support all the products in your portfolio. What You'll Do: Support Rockwell industrial control and automation solutions, including new product launches and technologies. Help specify, demo, and implement Rockwell products and systems. Work with customers and internal teams to recommend the right automation solutions. Conduct customer site visits, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts. Prepare proposals, documentation, and training materials. Represent Rexel at customer visits, trade shows, and Tech Tour events. Build customer relationships and help grow business across the territory. Meet or exceed sales goals of assigned technology offer Develop sales strategies, promotions, programs, and plans for sales growth Develop annual performance goals, objectives, and sales action plans Prepare periodic sales funnel, weekly sales reports, etc. Provide technical support for internal and external customers via on-site visit, phone, and email. This could include, but is not limited to troubleshooting products, finding technical documentation and specifications, product selection and, other requested activities Establish relationships with sales and customers to better understand sales potential Ascertain customer needs by customer visits, phone, and other means of research (internet, etc.) Work with sales to establish joint strategies and activities Provide expert knowledge to Inside Sales to facilitate quoting, order entry, and order expediting Create and present technical and commercial training for internal and external customers Describe or demonstrate product to customers Follow up on all business leads assigned by management, marketing, technical department, or supplier partners Acquire, use, and continuously develop personal technical knowledge Provide oral and/or written quotations, proposals or estimates of prices, scope of work, terms, and delivery Work with prospective customers to move projects through the sales cycle to conclusion Properly prepare for sales calls, customers events, etc. Work with Purchasing on proper inventory of high-tech products and identify any potential obsolesce problems Actively participate in appropriate industry groups Mentor, train, and coach other Automation specialists. Qualifications What You'll Need 10+ years of equivalent experience Electrical distribution industry or related experience required Valid Driver’s License High School or GED - Required 4 Year / Bachelor\'s Degree - Preferred Experience in industrial automation, electrical engineering, controls, or similar hands-on work. Strong knowledge of industrial controls, automation, and drive systems. Rockwell product experience is preferred. Comfortable giving demos, presentations, and troubleshooting in the field. Self-motivated and able to work well with sales, specialist and service teams.
