Job Summary
This position is an integral part of the finance team. The position leads the analytical support and financial reporting for the manufacturing plants, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. This position partners with the various operations teams to maintain and improve key reporting metrics. The position provides comprehensive financial support including, but not limited to, monthly performance reports, financial analysis and recommendations for improvements when needed.
Job Responsibilities

• • Provide financial analysis with focus on understanding plant operations
  • Lead standard costing activities for the plant by managing routing updates, BOM maintenance, and Budget variances.
  • Assume leadership responsibility as necessary, including being an advocate for new ideas and serving as an example for coworkers
  • Responsible for coaching others, reviewing progress, and evaluating results
  • Review, analyze and evaluate financial data for accuracy and consistency
  • Prepare and communicate key performance metrics for operations, including labor, production volume and inventory reporting
  • Oversee month end close process, including journal entries, expense analysis and development of cost of sales
  • Support internal and external audit requests and documentation
  • Participate in special projects, ad-hoc research and data analysis as needed

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Experience Requirements
This position typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related work and/or experience. In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated the following:

• • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including balance sheet and GL
  • Quality interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter continuously looking for process improvements.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective.
  • Excellent organizational skills – ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Microsoft GP ERP system experience is preferred
  • Epicor ERP system experience is a plus
  • Competency with Microsoft office suite products (excel, word, outlook, teams) required
