New employees of the Department of Military Affairs are required to participate in a direct deposit/electronic transfer program. The Department of Military Affairs is paid on a monthly basis. This position is a Cooperative Agreement position. As a CANDIDATE, you are required to provide documentation (i.e., High School Diploma or Equivalency, College Transcripts, ETC.) to verify meeting these Minimum Qualifications.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND Two (2) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of Refrigeration SystemsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect and maintain air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment. Install new air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration units. Maintain shop equipment and comply with environmental regulations. Recharge air conditioning and refrigeration units with refrigerants as necessary. Responsible for all other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of the procedures and methods for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration and air-conditioning units and component parts. Knowledge of the principles and techniques of the skilled building trades or mechanical repair work. Knowledge of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work. Skill in using hand tools. Skill in installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration units and component parts. Skilled in operation of a backhoe. Skill in using tools and equipment in maintenance and repair work. Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to perform a variety of skilled trades functions. Ability to take accurate measurements.
