Laboratory Technician - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Medical Technologist Laboratory
Schedule: Shift: 7 AM to 7:30 PM, 7 on 7 off (Wednesday to Tuesday)
Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 40, Contract Length: 16 weeks
Requirements:
- Must have graduated from an approved school of Medical Technology/Laboratory Science.
- Medical Technologist must hold a bachelor's degree and be certified/registered by one of the following: MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), CLS(NCA).
- Minimum of one year of experience preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform analyses, tests, and procedures that assist in the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of diseases.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy in results.
- Accession and order tests in the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), processing specimens with referrals as necessary.
- Maintain documentation according to regulatory agencies and laboratory policies and procedures.
- Follow sterilization and infection control procedures when handling infectious clinical specimens.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and comfort with routine phlebotomy.
