Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Profession: RN - OB Specialty: RN - OB Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Preferred in an acute care facility License: Required Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy: Required AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS: Required S.T.A.B.L.E Certification: Required AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM): Required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care situations. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the care plan and coordinates delivery of care. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in delivering patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and their families. Directly provides health information to patients and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriate tasks and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
