Project Manager - Civil/Structural - Rail and Transit Projects

Project Manager – Civil/Structural Rail/Transit Projects (Northeast Region) Parsons is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the design and construction of rail and transit projects across New York, New Jersey, and Boston, while supporting national initiatives. Responsibilities Manage overall technical and managerial direction of major engineering projects in the rail transit sector. Develop discipline staffing budgets, forecast staff needs, and maintain project performance within schedule and cost targets. Monitor quality and progress of discipline teams, ensuring production requirements are met. Provide technical direction and guidance to engineering teams; set priorities and schedules; review and approve high‑level designs. Establish standards and procedures for major projects and recommend improvements. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or related field. 8–10+ years of rail/transit experience, including design management and capture management. Experience with NY/NJ and/or Boston area transit clients preferred (MTA, MBTA, PANYNJ, NJ Transit, etc.). Knowledge of facilities and station design preferred. Design‑Build experience as Design Manager, Deputy Design Manager or Discipline Lead preferred. PE License required, active membership in a professional engineering society. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
