J-Bear Child Development Center is seeking a caring, energetic NC Pre-K Assistant Teacher who is passionate about helping children grow through meaningful learning experiences.

Working alongside the Lead Teacher, you'll help create a classroom where every child feels safe, supported, encouraged, and excited to learn.

As an NC Pre-K Assistant Teacher , you'll support the Lead Teacher in implementing engaging classroom activities, maintaining a safe learning environment, and helping children reach important developmental milestones.

Your support helps create a positive classroom experience where every child can learn, explore, and thrive.

• Assist with implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans
• Support children's learning through hands-on activities and positive interactions
• Provide active supervision throughout the day
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
• Support daily routines including meals, rest time, and transitions
• Encourage positive behavior through nurturing guidance
• Assist with classroom observations and documentation
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Help maintain compliance with NC Pre-K and licensing standards

Required:

• Must meet North Carolina NC Pre-K Assistant Teacher qualifications
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education OR
• Child Development Associate (CDA) with willingness to complete additional NC Pre-K requirements, as applicable
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
• Must successfully complete all required background screenings
