Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath experience and compact or IA licensure, with a 13-week day shift assignment including call responsibilities.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Days shift, 4x10s, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday with a random day off (schedule cannot be blocked)
• 40 hrs/week with holiday rotation
• On-call requirement of 1-2 nights/week and every 3rd weekend (7:30p Friday through 7a Monday)
• Weekend requirements are call-based with assigned cases on rare occasion
• Required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units
• May be asked to precept as needed
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience required
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Structural heart experience highly preferred
• EP experience highly preferred
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing duties within the Cardiac Cath Lab as needed
• Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Must be willing to float across campuses located within minutes of one another
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN) are ineligible if they have worked at any UPH market facility within the past 12 months unless their prior employment was as a traveler
