Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer (Experienced or Lead)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) organization is seeking a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer(Experienced or Lead) to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, OK.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced or Lead Level Engineers.Position Responsibilities:Experienced (Level 3)Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.Supports the development, maintenance, or modification of system, component, and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.Contributes to supplier development, test, and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation.Trains others.Works under general direction.Lead (Level 4)Lead and provide technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems to establish the system design.Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements.Lead the development, maintenance, or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation.Lead technical meetings and planning efforts, presenting technical information to wide range of audiences.Manage supplier development, test, and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.Prioritize, delegate, and track performance and documentation of analyses of fluid systems/mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design.Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts.Train and coach others.Work under minimal direction.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.3+ years of experience with mechanical systems.3+ years of experience with hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems.3+ years of experience with basic aerodynamics/fluid mechanics principles.1+ years of experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Level 4: 5+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higherExperience reading and interpreting engineering schematics, and specificationsExperience performing hydraulic / fluid system analysis, preferably using MATLAB and/or Easy5 software3+ years of experience designing tooling using CAD/CAM software, preferably CATIAExperience producing technical reports and presentationsStrong written, verbal communications and presentation skillsFamiliarity with engineering processes and methodsExperience working with cross functional teamsExperience with Model Based Development toolsRelocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
