Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and scale the next generation of our rare-earth reactors. The successful candidate will own designs from concept through commissioning, working closely with machinists and researchers to transform ideas into operating systems.
Responsibilities
Architect, model, and draw reactor subsystems, including thermal, vacuum, and materials handling, using CAD software (Fusion).
Specify components, tolerances, and materials suitable for high-temperature, corrosive, and vacuum environments.
Build and iterate on prototypes; conduct experiments and analyze data to inform design decisions.
Author procedures, test plans, and safety/operating documentation.
Collaborate with fabrication partners and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in CAD (Fusion) software.
Hands-on experience with metal machining and shop tools.
Experience with high-temperature systems and/or vacuum hardware.
Detail-oriented with the ability to execute technical tasks precisely.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, build-measure-learn environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in chemistry is advantageous.
Availability to start soon is preferred.

You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced technologies and equipment. The role requires hands-on interaction with metal machining and vacuum systems, and you will be expected to adapt to a build-measure-learn workflow efficiently.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
