Company Description Collaborative Counseling Center (CCC) in Columbia, Maryland provides outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in the Greater Baltimore–Washington area. A multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals works together to support clients in achieving emotional wellness through coordinated, team-based care. CCC offers a welcoming, family-friendly environment and flexible scheduling, including Saturday appointments, to make services accessible and convenient. The center provides a wide range of services such as psychiatric evaluation, medication management, ADHD testing and treatment, psychoeducational assessments, counseling, parent coaching, early intervention, and college counseling. Led by Medical Director Dr. Brett Greenberger, a Board Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, CCC is committed to inspiring change and promoting growth for every client.

Role Description The Medical Office Assistant is a part-time, on-site role based in Columbia, MD. This team member supports daily front office operations by greeting clients, answering phones, and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. Core responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying insurance information, updating patient records, and assisting with intake and checkout procedures. The Medical Office Assistant also supports clinicians with administrative tasks such as managing paperwork, organizing files, and coordinating communication between clients, providers, and external offices. This role contributes to efficient clinic flow and a positive client experience while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to office policies.

Must be available to work two week days 3 pm to 7 pm, Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm and Saturdays as needed.

• Candidates should possess strong Phone Etiquette skills, including professional communication and courteous client interaction.

• Candidates should possess Appointment Scheduling and calendar management skills to handle multiple providers and flexible client needs.

• Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately process documentation and communicate with clinical staff.
\n
• Candidates should possess Insurance Verification skills, including checking benefits, confirming coverage, and collecting required information.
\n
• Candidates should possess Administrative Assistance skills, such as data entry, filing, record maintenance, and basic office software proficiency.
\n
• Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a medical or behavioral health office, familiarity with electronic health records, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary coursework or certification in medical office administration or a related field is preferred.
