The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational and analytical skills to meet regulatory and payer requirements. Knowledge in medical coding and billing terminology required.Key Responsibilities:Submit and manage claims for Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial payersVerify eligibility, review documentation, and ensure billing accuracy and complianceMonitor accounts receivable, follow up on unpaid claims, and resolve denials or rejectionsProcess hospice and home health billing requirements, including NOE/NOTR and OASIS-linked claimsPost payments, reconcile remittances, and identify discrepanciesMaintain compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulationsCollaborate with clinical, intake, and coding teams to address billing issuesPerformance Expectations:Maintain high accuracy (98%+) and low denial ratesMeet claim submission and follow-up timelinesKeep accounts receivable within agency targetsEnsure complete, audit-ready documentationEducation/Experience: Bachelor degree preferred. Medical billing and coding certification may substitute for education, along with professional experience as a biller or coder.
