Assembly Technician

The Assembly Technician performs manufacturing assembly of solar panels and batteries, including both mechanical assembly and electrical wiring. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical parts and components for solar panels and batteries according to established procedures.
• Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and assembly procedures to complete tasks accurately and safely.
• Use basic hand tools and equipment to perform mechanical assembly and electrical wiring operations.
• Perform visual inspections at various stages of assembly to verify that products meet defined quality standards and specifications.
• Handle and assemble small parts that require precise hand coordination and fine motor skills.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe production.
• Report any defects, issues, or deviations from specifications to the appropriate personnel.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and output targets.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to perform mechanical assembly and electrical wiring tasks in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong understanding of basic mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
• Skilled in the use of basic hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with small parts and complex assemblies.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions consistently and precisely.
• Capability to perform thorough visual inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with standards.
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for handling small components.

This is a Contract position based out of Palo Alto, CA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
