Commercial Lines Account Representative

The Commercial Lines Account Representative is responsible for providing high quality service to clients by acting as the primary liaison between the insurance company, agent, and clients. This role involves handling daily service requests, managing policy changes, renewals, endorsements, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of all account related activities. The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and underwriters
• Provide accurate and timely communication through verbal and written correspondence
• Maintain and update client files using agency management systems
• Process incoming requests, mail, and service inquiries promptly
• Assist in preparing proposals and applications and follow up for completion
• Support clients with coverage changes and document updates accordingly
• Handle policy renewals and remarketing as needed
• Issue binders, certificates, endorsements, and policies and verify accuracy
• Review policy audits and coordinate corrections with carriers and clients
• Monitor loss runs and claim status reports
• Cross sell additional lines of business including personal lines
• Manage billing processes including agency bill accounts and invoicing
• Set up finance contracts and assist with rate negotiations
• Prioritize and manage workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Certifications

• Experience in commercial lines insurance servicing
• Knowledge of policy processing, endorsements, renewals, and billing
• Familiarity with agency management systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills
• Property and Casualty license preferred or required
