Grinder

Grinder/ Metal Finisher Grinders are responsible for performing class C/B grinding and finishing work on sheet metal products for secondary operations with low cosmetic visibility. General duties include: Prepare and operate standard hand grinders. Deburr, buff, and or polish materials to specifications. Examines and feels surface of product for defects. Removal of defects, scratches, excess weld material, and burs to produce a smooth unmarred surface. Prepare products for secondary operations such as powder coating by achieving a Class C/B finish with low cosmetic visibility. Ensure that safety devices guards are operative and follow safety protocols. Performs other duties as assigned. Preferred qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Vision abilities requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth Required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually. May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
