Switchboard Operator

Main campus switchboard for Missouri State University, the caller's first contact with the university. Requires strict confidentiality. Answer calls from on- and off-campus for transfer to the appropriate area. Also may occasionally be asked to do other tasks. Must be responsible and demonstrate the ability to fluently speak and comprehend the English language.

Manual dexterity for computer operation and applications related to the job. Customer service experience and excellent communication skills are required. Prefer minimum of 2 years remaining at MSU.

Availability through Spring 2029 and during the summer is preferred. If work study, provide proof of work study award.

Hiring Range - $15.00/hr.

Sponsorship Information - Applicants must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

Department/Employer Operating Hours - Mon-Fri 8a-5p (unless offices are closed)/ 12 months
