Asc Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer

This role is within the Simulation and Performance team on the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program, focusing on missile guidance, navigation, and control modeling and simulation. Responsibilities Apply missile guidance, navigation, and control expertise to modeling and simulation. Integrate Matlab/Simulink models into a 6-DOF C++ simulation. Develop high-fidelity models and simulation software. Build new source code in C++ and Python; modify code in C++, C, Matlab, Simulink, Fortran, Python, Linux shell, and YAML. Create unit tests and execute simulation software on a high performance computing cluster including Linux systems or VMs. Work in an Agile DevOps environment with Docker/Container and Kubernetes deployment. Collaborate with performance analysts, Flight Software team, and customer. Basic Qualifications BS degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, or related engineering field from an accredited school. Good communication skills. Experience with Python and C/C++. US citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret clearance. Desired Skills Experience working in the development phase of a missile defense program on modeling and simulation or software. Experience with GitLab, gcovr, gtest, Digital.ai Agility (VersionOne), Clang, Jira, or other Agile and DevOps tools. Experience implementing real-time simulation in a hardware‑in‑the‑loop laboratory. Proficiency with Matlab, C++, C, Fortran 77, Python, Linux, YAML. Experience with image and sensor processing algorithms, target tracking algorithms, physics‑based modeling or electro‑optical sensors. HWIL and hardware/software integration experience. Experience with model‑based software development using Simulink (autocoding) and Gitlab. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members. Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance and a US citizen for consideration. Clearance level: Secret.
