Financial Controller

Global Mobility Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to lead the company's accounting and financial management functions. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, compliance, payroll, and financial analysis. This role serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations to support growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise, experience managing financial operations in a growing organization, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Direct and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and month/year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develop financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive leadership.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning

• Assist in the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Partner with department to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Provide financial modeling and business analysis for growth initiatives, investments, and operational decisions.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements.
• Monitor banking relationships and cash management activities.
• Optimize cash utilization and implement strategies to improve liquidity and financial stability.
• Coordinate payrolls with outside supplier partner.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance personnel.
• Establish performance expectations and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive automation initiatives, and best practices across finance operations.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Oversee accounting systems and financial technology platforms.
• Proficiency with Quickbooks.
• Evaluate/implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support integration of financial data with operational and business systems.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Advanced finance/accounting certification is a plus.

Experience

• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 3-5+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting role.
• Experience in professional services, logistics, relocation services, workforce mobility, or related industries preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software systems and advanced financial reporting tools.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
