Salary: $138,905 - 285,982 per year Requirements:

• We need at least 2 years of industry experience applying machine learning techniques such as user modeling, personalization, recommender systems, search, ranking, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, or graph representation learning.
• We need practical, end-to-end experience building data processing pipelines, large-scale machine learning systems, and working with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
• We require a bachelors degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred qualifications include a masters degree or PhD in machine learning or a related area.
• Preferred qualifications include publications in leading machine learning conferences.
• Preferred qualifications include experience using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Copilot, or Codex for development, debugging, testing, and refactoring.
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with LLM-based productivity tools for documentation search, experiment analysis, SQL or data exploration, and accelerating engineering workflows.
• Preferred qualifications include expertise in scalable real-time systems that process streaming data.
• Preferred qualifications include a strong passion for applied machine learning and the Pinterest product.

• We build advanced technology using the latest deep learning and machine learning methods to personalize Pinterest.
• We partner closely with teams across the company to test and improve ML models for product areas such as Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search.
• We use data-driven approaches and the distinctive strengths of our data to improve candidate retrieval.
• We operate in a high-impact environment with rapid experimentation and frequent product launches.
