CUSTODIAN

Custodian

The Custodian is a valued member of the Troy Campus Facilities team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for worship, ministry, and community activities. Reporting to the Custodial Manager, this role supports daily cleaning needs and event setup, serving behind the scenes to help ministry happen with excellence.

Schedule: Nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, lobby, and Worship Center
• Perform routine custodial duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and surface cleaning
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies
• Set up, reset, and rearrange rooms for services and events (tables, chairs, equipment)
• Support special events with facility preparation and post-event reset
• Ensure all spaces are safe, clean, and ministry-ready

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Positive, servant-hearted attitude with strong teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (team lifting encouraged); climb stairs and ladders
• Mechanical aptitude a plus
• Alignment with the mission and values of Woodside Bible Church
