Nurse184 Day Position- Pay is pro-rated after the start of the school year.Qualifications:Licensed Practical Nurse (Current Georgia License)Valid American Red Cross Adult and Child CPR, First Aid and AED CardsThree years experience preferredResponsibilities:Prompt and regular attendanceProvides care of students and faculty using the American Red Cross First Aid Guidelines and the Liberty County School System Health Resource ManualAssists with wellness and safety programsDemonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the use of the internet, email and other computer applicationsMaintains stock and inventory for school clinicMonitors permanent records for current immunization records and EEDSAssists the classroom teachers on health related issuesMaintains current American Red Cross certification in CPR, First Aid, AED, and HIV/AIDSProvides assistance to the chronically ill child as needed and deemed appropriate by the Principal and/or County level SupervisorProvides school in-services as needed on HIV/AIDSMaintains daily electronic documentation of student visits and sick log of faculty/staff visitsDispenses approved medicationsPerforms such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or Superintendent of SchoolsConducts testing as requested for vision, hearing, dental and nutrition screeningsMaintains records and logs of testing and provide referral/follow up servicesMaintains current immunization records on studentsCompletes monthly reports and records as requestedConducts parent conferences and makes phone calls as neededApplication Procedures:Liberty County School System online application process and instructions may be obtained on the Liberty County School System website under the Employment tab.
