Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, setting technical parameters, ensuring image quality, maintaining equipment, documenting patient information, and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. The role also involves radiation safety compliance and patient care throughout the imaging process. Essential Work Functions Operate CT equipment to acquire images of bones, organs, and tissues. Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position them appropriately. Set appropriate technical parameters to demonstrate anatomy and pathology accurately. Provide high‑quality images to radiologists for interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment. Document patient and procedural information accurately in the hospital’s system. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various facilities. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and possess PC skills. Physical Abilities: Remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push/pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills: Work effectively with diverse personnel while maintaining professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills: Fine manipulation, push/pull, and movement during procedures.
