Role Description The Owner role at gsoba is a full-time, on-site position based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Owner is responsible for setting the overall vision and strategy, defining business goals, and making key decisions that guide daily operations. Responsibilities include overseeing finances and budgets, managing vendor and partner relationships, and ensuring that products or services meet customer expectations. The role involves hiring, guiding, and supporting team members while fostering an inclusive, performance-focused culture. The Owner will also monitor market trends, identify new opportunities, manage risk, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Qualifications Experience in business ownership, entrepreneurship, or senior leadership with responsibility for strategy, operations, and financial outcomes. Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and familiarity with basic accounting principles. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and vendors, with effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Solid organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow through on multiple initiatives. Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to present ideas and decisions to diverse audiences. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in fast-changing or ambiguous environments. Experience creating or improving business processes, implementing systems, and driving efficiency and quality. Comfort with technology tools for productivity, collaboration, and basic business analytics; openness to learning new platforms as needed.
