Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners as a highly qualified Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school setting near New Orleans, LA. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting PreK students, ages 3–5, across multiple campuses in an itinerant role. Work onsite alongside dedicated educators from August 10, 2026, through May 20, 2027, helping to shape communication skills at this critical stage of development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license for Louisiana and ASHA CCC credential required
- At least one year of school-based or pediatric experience (preferred)
- Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for early childhood populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to travel between sites within the district (itinerant position)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for PreK-aged students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services onsite
- Maintain thorough records and track student progress
- Provide consultation to teachers and families to foster classroom carryover
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and staff development as needed
