Our client is a privately held company with a very successful history. Established prior to 1920, the family enterprise owns and operates retail home improvement stores, real estate, banking, and other businesses in the Midwest.Responsibilities:Review complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate income tax returnsMake recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax saving opportunitiesResearch and consult on various tax mattersRespond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authoritiesManage work flow and supervise staffPrepare tax projections and miscellaneous tax and financial projectsAddress taxing authority inquiries and assist in tax auditsRequirements:5-10+ years of income tax experience including broad based exposure to federal and state income tax mattersCPA certificationExcellent managerial and leadership skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills including proficiency with tax compliance and research softwarePublic accounting experience a plusEstate/gift tax experience a plusBell & Associates, Inc. was recently recognized by Forbes list of Best Professional Recruiting Firms in AmericaBell & Associates, Inc. is a recognized Executive Recruiting & Staffing leader based in Kansas City.
