Boston Imaging – A Samsung Company is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist to provide clinical and technical expertise during the sales cycle for ultrasound systems in the Northeast U.S. The role involves training and supporting customers, collaborating with sales and product teams, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Responsible for delivering clinical and technical support during the ultrasound sales process and post‑sale, working closely with Sales Representatives, Dealers, and Channel Sales Managers. Experience in the Radiology Commercial Market is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver clinical and technical instruction during the ultrasound sales cycle and post‑sale process to internal and external customers, including on‑site visits with physicians and sonographers.
• Conduct professional ultrasound product demonstrations and post‑installation training of customers’ clinical staff.
• Provide clinical and technical support at trade shows and professional conferences.
• Collaborate with product management and service teams to report on and improve product performance through field feedback.
• Support sales and service teams with clinical expertise and customer engagement.
• Monitor customer satisfaction post‑installation.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive, patient‑customer focused attitude.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and work processes.
• Complete all required training and stay current on product knowledge, including competitor offerings.
• Manage time effectively and make sound business decisions.
• Wear a dosimeter when in direct contact with radiation emitting devices.
• Follow travel, expense, and meeting guidelines.
• Transport company equipment per company policy.
• Foster a collaborative and high‑performing work environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• RDMS certification required; must possess excellent knowledge of the technical and clinical aspects of diagnostic ultrasound.
• Experience supporting the Radiology Commercial Market.
• RVT required; RDCS certification desired.
• 6‑10 years of clinical ultrasound experience in General Imaging, Vascular, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Point of Care, and Musculoskeletal (Elastography, Fusion, and CEUS a plus).
• Skilled in 2D and Color Doppler across applications.
• Previous commercial experience as a Clinical Applications Specialist.
• Strong market knowledge and competitive attitude.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to perform clinical and product training to all levels of customers.
• Willing to travel overnight.
• Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record mandatory; background and drug testing required.
• Budget, expense, and resource management experience required.
• Results‑oriented, team player, and people person.
• Self‑driven to optimize performance with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must exhibit excellent presentation skills in small and large group situations.

COMPUTER & ANALYTIC SKILLS

• Excellent technology proficiency; capable of presenting using a laptop and familiar with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling, and reaching; ability to sit and drive for long periods when traveling.
• Must stand for long periods (8‑15 hours) for multiple days.
• Regular exposure to wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, outdoor weather, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• Interaction with x‑ray devices; requires strict safety and tracking programs with dose monitoring equipment.
• Noise level occasionally very loud.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
