Lead Bridge Engineer / Senior Project Manager

Job Summary Lead Bridge Engineer – Northeast Sector (New Jersey). Participates in a broad portfolio of projects regionally, nationally and internationally. Primary scope: develop bridge and structure designs for local agencies and design‑build clients, deliver projects on time, on budget and with high quality. Requires strong project management skills and ability to lead and mentor junior staff. This is a hybrid role with expectations of three days in office. Responsibilities Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures. Experience with long‑span bridges is an asset. Advanced structural engineering and analysis capabilities, including seismic analysis, are a plus. Develop design, contract plans and specifications. Coordinate and direct CAD production activities for drawing production. Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs. Interface with civil engineers for development of complete project plans and specifications. Develop engineering studies, reports and documentation. Oversee and review calculations and designs performed by engineers. Other assignments as needed. Qualifications Professional Engineering License (PE) in New Jersey; a license in New York and/or Pennsylvania is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering required; Master’s degree preferred. 15+ years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures. Project management experience required. Experience delivering NJTA/NJDOT projects preferred. Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs. Experience in CSI Bridge is a plus. Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT and NJTA design standards preferred. Proficient in leading technical aspects of bridge projects, writing reports, preparing drawings, specifications and engineering calculations.
