Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a CVOR position requiring open heart and/or endovascular experience and a CO or Compact RN license.
Details
Acute care setting in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with 16 total suites, including 3 dedicated CVOR suites
Approximately 30 cases per day, including 1-2 open heart cases daily
Common cases include open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic procedures
Day shift schedule, 0630-1700, with shift negotiable
On-call requirements include one weekday per week and one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) in rotation with staff
Call response time is 30 minutes; on-site call room available
Floating required to General OR as PRN when no CVOR cases are scheduled, with potential to float within Zone 1 facilities during extreme need
Uses Epic EMR
36 hours guaranteed per week over a 12-hour shift structure
Requirements
Active CO or Compact (NLC) RN license required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
BLS certification required (AHA); ACLS preferred
Open heart experience and/or endovascular experience required
RNs may be required to scrub in to help hold the heart and assist with chest closure
Driver's license copy required for consideration
Additional Information
Assist surgical team with open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic procedures
Work alongside 8 OR techs within the CVOR unit
Hospital-provided scrubs (light blue) required
One week of unit/department-specific orientation provided
Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, even if initial modules are remote
Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel positioning
First-time travelers may be considered
Hiring process includes a profile review and an interview with the unit manager
