Job Summary

If you’re interested in kickstarting your career in the hospitality industry, this is a great opportunity to get first-hand experience of how a bar operates.

We are looking for a Barback to support our Bartenders and the rest of our staff. You’ll assist with bar opening and closing procedures and perform various behind-the-bar tasks, such as restocking the bar and assisting in the preparing of garnishes.

Ultimately, you’ll help ensure that our guests receive excellent customer service and enjoy their time at our venues.

To be considered for this role, you should be legally authorized to work in a bar where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed. You should also be available to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and major holidays. Compensation includes hourly wage and tips.

Responsibilities

This is not an exhaustive list. The items below are primary duties. All other duties assigned by leadership are expected to be completed as requested.

• Greets, directs and responds to guest questions and needs in a timely manner
• Interact with the customers while tidying up tables, counters and other bar areas
• Assist in clearing tables and the serving areas of dust and debris in the summer and snow in the winter
• Change out beer kegs and replace liquor and beer bottles
• Restock bar with straws, coasters and napkins
• Remove trash and clean up drink spills
• Responsible for keeping venue clean and organized per company standards
• Refill ice bins
• Clean/restock rags throughout the shift
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed
• Assist Bartenders during rush hours
• Ensure the venue is always Show Ready
• Comply with all County and Company food and beverage regulations

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum age to serve open container alcohol (21)
• Ability to lift 150+ pounds (full-size keg)
• Previous entry level bar or restaurant experience preferred
• Experience working in a fast- paced environment
• Guest Services
• Adaptability
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the venue organize, stocked and clean
• Jerry Jolly Responsible Alcohol Service Certificate
