Customer Service Representative

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Customer Service Representative for a facilities maintenance and services company supporting clients throughout the industry. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Manhattan, New York City, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position is initially temporary, with potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Customer Service Representative will support daily operations by managing customer communications, coordinating service requests, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and vendors. This role will work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and accounting to ensure work orders are properly documented, scheduled, and completed efficiently. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. PERKS: Competitive pay of $20 per hour, with approximately 40 hours per week. Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule with evenings and weekends outside the standard schedule unless business needs change. RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer incoming calls and respond to customer emails and inquiries professionally, providing timely and helpful service. Create service tickets, enter work orders into company systems, coordinate vendor dispatch, and schedule maintenance appointments. Follow up on open and completed work orders, communicate service updates, and help maintain positive client relationships and online reputation. Collect and organize invoices, work order tickets, W-9 forms, certificates of insurance, nondisclosure agreements, subcontractor agreements, and other required documentation. Maintain accurate customer records and service documentation while coordinating with the Lead Project Manager, vendors, subcontractors, and accounting team. Address customer concerns, elevate service issues when appropriate, and assist with additional administrative and operational tasks as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Background in customer service, preferably in a professional office or service-based environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional telephone etiquette, and a customer-focused approach. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, with the ability to learn CRM and web-based work order systems. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities. Professional, dependable, and personable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully onsite environment. Experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, property management, or vendor coordination is preferred. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The pay rate for this position is $20 per hour , based on approximately 40 hours per week. Eligible temporary employees may access healthcare benefits through Scion Staffing after 30 days, subject to applicable plan terms.
