Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/Stepdown

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic PCU/Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, particularly in managing cardiac drips, and will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, monitoring, and documentation in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips, including titrating dosages as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and implement care plans.
• Float to Telemetry or Med-Surg floors as needed based on staffing requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a PCU or Stepdown unit required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing and titrating cardiac drips is a hard stop requirement.
• Ability to work every other weekend as part of the schedule.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Block scheduling is not available.

Additional Information

• Eligible for holiday selection: Candidates may choose either Thanksgiving or Christmas as a holiday but not both.
• Staff-to-patient ratio is expected to be 1:4 to 1:5.
• No parking fees for staff.
• Charting will be conducted using Epic systems.
