We are looking for a career-minded person who is looking for a long-term position with a great company. Candidates must be available to work from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Principal Accountabilities Process paperwork for all inbound freight including UPS and transfers Scan all paperwork in the Eclipse system Receive incoming material by entering actual items received versus quantities shown on packing slip Perform general warehouse clerical duties Prepare truck for operation by inspecting general condition: check fluid levels and tire pressure: notify Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs Maintain truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs Load delivery truck with product securely-avoid damages Deliver items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule Use cell phone to report on the progress of deliveries Picks up returns items for the company Verify products delivered against packing slip and have customer sign receipt Serve customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests Process inbound materials to the warehouse; compare quantities shown on packing slip or manifests with actual items received Efficiently and effectively load and unload trucks Inspect items according to instructions and report damaged goods Ensure materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouse Stack skids or pallets in designated areas; clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping in proper containers or designated areas Assist customers at the counter Perform other duties as requested Minimum Education and Experience High School Diploma or its equivalent Valid driver’s license (Class C CDL required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Critical thinker – using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions Mathematical reasoning – ability to choose the right method or formulas to solve the problem Ability to learn Eclipse software Must be very detail-oriented and focused for accuracy Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines Strong interpersonal communication skills Patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload Strong organizational skills Ability to determine and prioritize workload Ability to read directions and use a street map to plot delivery route Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Equipment Used PC Calculator Fax Telephone Photocopy machine Working Conditions Normal warehouse environment Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock. Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
