Travel Radiology Technologist - $1,414 per week

Job Summary Froedtert Health is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week contract in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The position requires 10‑hour night shifts, 20 hours per week, and focuses on performing diagnostic radiology procedures, patient care, and ensuring high‑quality imaging. Responsibilities Prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures under the direction of radiologists and other providers. Operate imaging equipment and conduct procedures according to established guidelines and protocols. Explain exams and obtain patient medical history, documenting it into the RIS. Provide clear instruction and support to patients throughout examinations. Adhere to radiation protection measures, following ALARA and all relevant safety standards (OSHA, PPE, hand washing). Position patients appropriately and select technical factors to produce diagnostic‑quality images with minimal repeats. Verify image quality, ensure correct identification, and place ID markers and annotations. Collaborate with radiologists and ordering providers during exams and for protocol clarification. Submit images and orders to PACS and perform reconciliations accurately and timely. Document fluoroscopy time and estimated skin exposure for fluoroscopic studies. Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC, following the workflow from order entry to exam completion, including notes, medication documentation, and supply charges. Maintain equipment, report issues, and perform minor troubleshooting. Assist with patient transport as needed. Prepare exam rooms for subsequent patients, stock supplies and linens, and maintain a clean work area. Mentor and provide a positive teaching environment for staff, students, interns, and visitors. Assist in onboarding new employees. Accept flexible scheduling, including weekend, call, and holiday rotations. Proactively seek opportunities to increase departmental efficiency. Offer assistance to others as a team member and role model. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic radiology setting OR one year of current clinical experience. ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology. Current Wisconsin state license as a radiographer. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an equivalent. Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records. Strong communication skills and the ability to remain flexible with scheduling. Ability to work nights in a 10‑hour shift, 20 hours per week. US Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred: Additional 1–2 years of college coursework or a degree in a healthcare‑related field. Preferred: Experience in diagnostic radiology and advanced imaging protocols.
