Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse with an oncology background to join our 8S Oncology unit. This position requires experience in the management of oncology patients and working with chemotherapy protocols. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other treatment protocols as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage care for oncology patients.
• Ensure adherence to neutropenic precautions and other unit guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have an active RN license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Oncology experience is mandatory; hematology-oncology (Hemonc) background is preferred.
• Chemotherapy certification is considered a strong asset.

Schedule

This is a night shift position with hours from 7 PM to 7 AM, including rotating weekends.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
