Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in our Dialysis program, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while advancing your nursing career. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through skilled clinical practice, compassionate care coordination, and professional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments utilizing physical and psychosocial evaluation skills, diagnostic data, and medical expertise to develop individualized care plans
• Deliver high-quality nursing interventions and implement medical orders that address the complex needs of dialysis patients and their families, with attention to age-specific considerations and educational requirements
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress against established care goals, adjusting treatment plans to optimize outcomes and enhance quality of life
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of patient care and clinical responses, ensuring comprehensive medical records
• Lead and mentor LPNs and technical staff as Charge Nurse, demonstrating professional excellence through strong communication, clinical decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving
• Serve as a clinical role model and mentor, supporting team development and contributing to the orientation and training of new nursing personnel
• Build strong patient and family relationships through compassionate communication and consumer-focused care delivery

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Graduate of state approved school of nursing required. Current State of Michigan RN licensure required. Prior to assuming charge responsibilities, must have at least 12 months experience in nursing care including 3 months experience providing nursing care to maintenance Hemodialysis patients.
