Student Observation

College students who can add direct experience in the field to their resumes are a step ahead in the classroom. By shadowing our Weisman physical, occupational, speech and recreation therapists and child life specialists in both our inpatient and outpatient facilities, you will be better prepared for a clinical internship, and perhaps have a clearer sense of what direction you wish to pursue. Shadowing also contributes to your developing realistic perspectives of your career choices because you will experience it on a daily basis. Observation is limited to a maximum of 20 hours. Applications are accepted throughout the year, but there are a limited number of opportunities. Students are selected on a first‑come, first‑serve basis.
