Safety Technician

Job Description PCI is seeking a Safety Technician for its Memphis, TN operations around multiple sites. This individual will be responsible for the following duties: Promote safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury‑free culture among all site and field personnel. Assist with the administration of PCI's Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures, on jobsites and at the branch through utilization of safety resources such as training and mitigation of unsafe practices. Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements and expectations. Collaborate with site safety manager and field to develop and implement safety policies and procedures as necessary; monitor for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement when necessary. Investigate and evaluate injuries and illnesses for the project site. Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of PCI. Create and maintain positive relationships with all trades, vendors, co‑workers and customers to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. This position is safety‑sensitive. Basic Requirements Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in construction safety. OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certification. Age at least 18 years. Strong verbal communication skills. Previous Fall Protection and Confined Space Training. Motivated self‑starter willing to take initiative. Provided safety oversight for a minimum of 15 craft in the field. Capable of spending 80% of daily time in the field with craft. Strong work ethic with labor experience in the field. Able to work 50–60 hour work weeks. Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside. Physically able to perform assigned tasks. Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently. Preferred Requirements Bilingual in Spanish and English. Degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety. Previous experience conducting safety training. Local to Memphis, TN metro area.
