We strive for excellence every day, which is what sets us apart from all the other government contractors.As a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) that provides a broad range of administrative, project management, and medical staffing support services, we are also honored to be a Member of the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), and we encourage military spouses to apply for any of our positions for which they feel they are qualified.JOB TITLE: AudiologistGOVERNMENT AGENCY & LOCATION:Baton Rouge Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic7968 Essen Park AvenueBaton Rouge, Louisiana 70809POSITION TIMING: Immediate hire upon completion of all background and security investigations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic audiology services to veterans at the VA Medical CenterEvaluate, diagnose, and treat hearing, balance, and related auditory disorders in veterans, ensuring the highest standard of care; services include both in-clinic care and telehealth consultations as neededComprehensive audiometric evaluations and diagnostic testing for hearing and balance disordersHearing aid evaluations, fittings, programming, and maintenanceCounseling veterans on hearing loss prevention, auditory rehabilitation, and communication strategiesCoordinating and conducting tele-audiology services as necessaryMaintaining compliance with VA policies and federal healthcare delivery and patient safety regulationsUse audiometers, impedance bridges, otoacoustic emissions (OAE), and auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing to diagnose hearing and balance disordersAdminister hearing aid consultations, fittings, and programming using evidence-based practices. Educate on proper device usage and maintenanceDevelop and implement individualized auditory rehabilitation plans, including providing veterans with aural rehabilitation training, assistive listening devices, and communication strategiesCounsel veterans and their families on hearing health, protective measures, and available hearing loss treatment and management resourcesWork closely with ENT specialists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care coordinationMaintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with VA policies and federal regulations, ensuring timely entry into electronic health records (EHR)Timely completion of all diagnostic evaluations within prescribed timeframesImplement treatment plans that meet the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) guidelinesRegular follow-ups for hearing aid services to ensure devices are functioning optimally and meet patient needsDelivery of tele-audiology services in accordance with established VA protocolsQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum one year in Audiology and Board CertifiedMust speak, understand, read and write English fluentlyMust have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart AssociationMust have unencumbered licensure in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of ColumbiaMust be a US Citizen or have evidence of Permanent ResidencyEDUCATION:Current Audiologist licensure in the state of LouisianaDoctor of Audiology (Au.
