Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal hospital that has proudly served the community since 1995. They are currently seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their experienced and supportive team. The practice focuses on small animal medicine, seeing cats and dogs, and offers a varied caseload that includes both routine and more advanced cases.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday, with Saturday morning hours from 8:30am to 12:00pm. The team is open to discussing both full-time and part-time scheduling options, providing flexibility to suit individual needs. Specific doctor hours can be discussed accordingly, with weekend coverage limited to the Saturday morning rota.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will have the opportunity to manage cases ranging from routine wellness and preventative care to urgent care situations, utilising state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. The role offers exposure to a wide range of medical and surgical cases, allowing you to further develop your clinical skills. The hospital supports career development through internal educational resources and structured programs designed to help veterinarians achieve their long-term professional goals, making this an excellent opportunity for new graduates as well as experienced doctors.
Practice Details
The practice is well-equipped to handle complex surgical procedures and advanced medical care. Facilities include digital X-ray, ultrasound, tonometry, ECG, and an in-house laboratory, enabling efficient and thorough diagnostics. Services offered include wellness care, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, endocrinology, behavioural medicine, advanced orthopaedic procedures, and soft tissue surgery. The hospital provides a strong clinical infrastructure that supports high-quality patient care and professional growth.
Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by a brilliant and dedicated group of technicians and support staff. The environment is collaborative and team-focused, with a shared commitment to delivering excellent patient care and fostering professional development within the practice.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
