Licensed Master Social Worker

Job Summary This position will serve as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for a division of the Service Access Program Implementation and Stakeholder Support (SPSRFO) in the Regional Field Office. The role supports various divisions and oversees operations across districts in NYS. Responsibilities The LMSW will be supervised by the Regional Leader and act as District Lead (district TBD) for the District, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and service delivery evaluation. Provide supervision and leadership to an assigned team, performing administrative tasks, communicating at team meetings, completing reports, sharing policy and procedure requirements, and managing staff schedules and resources. Ensure team members have working knowledge of OPWDD menus of supports and services and associated criteria, and provide training and clear expectations. Engage in regular audit and improvement activities and maintain knowledge of OPWDD policies and procedures. Review administrative documents and conduct training for implementation of policies and procedures. Participate in local and statewide meetings, trainings, workgroups, and committees as directed by Regional Leadership. Foster effective collaboration and communication among staff, individuals, families, care‑coordination organizations, agencies, local government units, and other community stakeholders. Participate in maintaining the Regional Field Office Policy and Procedural Manual and Quality Review Team meetings. Provide technical assistance to care‑coordination organizations and OPWDD provider agencies as needed. Perform other tasks as assigned and travel as needed. Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive: Current license and registration as a Licensed Master Social Worker in NewYork State. Transfer: One year of permanent competitive or 55‑b/c status in the posted title and eligibility for lateral transfer, or eligibility to transfer via Section70.1,70.4, or52.6 of Civil Service Law. Transfers cannot result in an advancement of more than two salary grades. Assessment of eligibility for transfer via the Career Mobility GOT‑IT website must be verified. Benefits and Additional Information Minimum starting salary includes statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade20 ($74,193) plus Downstate Adjustment ($4,000), with total salary ($94,121). Eligibility to receive loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
