Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - PRN

Description Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, swing bed program, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. Works under the ER supervisor and director of nursing and is responsible for the coordination of total nursing care in the emergency room department. The ER Nurse is responsible for ensuring quality nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, triage, implementation, and evaluation. He/she is responsible for the orientation, assignment, supervision, evaluation, and teaching of those under his/her direction. The ER nurse manages the shift in a way to expedite workflow. The ER Nurse ensures compliance with all operating policies and procedures of Lake Butler Hospital and AHCA regulations. Some of the Duties and Responsibilities Assessment of physical and psychological needs of patients in emergent situations. Document initial findings/changes and provide report to providers to prevent decline in patient status. Can locate and utilize available resource materials. Demonstrate ability to establish priorities of care in emergent situations. Be aware of patients that are being admitted/discharged and work with coworkers for completing assessments, treatments, paperwork, education, etc. Requirements Education: Minimally Required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the state of Florida to practice as a professionally registered nurse RN. Experience: Minimally Required Minimum of three years medical/surgical experience. Preferred or Specialized One year experience in emergency room or critical care preferred. Skills: Minimally Required BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required. May obtain ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire. #J-18808-Ljbffr Lake Butler Hospital
