On-Call Cook
SAGE Dining Services is seeking experienced On-Call Cooks to join our team! This is a great opportunity for culinary professionals looking for flexible hours and the chance to work in a variety of dining environments.
Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality meals according to recipes and production needs
Assist with food preparation, service, and kitchen setup
Fill in as needed to support kitchen operations during staffing shortages, special events, and busy periods
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times
Work efficiently in fast-paced kitchen environments
Help with receiving, storage, and proper rotation of food products
Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for service
Provide a positive attitude and professional teamwork on every shift
Must be reliable and able to adapt quickly to different kitchens and teams
Previous cook experience required
Ideal for experienced cooks seeking supplemental income, schedule flexibility, and diverse culinary experiences.
Pay Type: $23.00 Hourly

Produce assigned hot and cold foods in a timely and accurate manner.
Provide meals that consistently exceed our guests' expectations.
Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile.
Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes.
Clean all work areas, equipment, and customer service areas on an ongoing basis.
Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always. (HACCP).
Adhere to SAGE's safety and allergy prevention policies.
Assist in training new Cooks and culinary Team Members.
Adapt to additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold.
Experience with cooking strongly preferred.
Ability to set up a serving/action station.
Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
Experience in customer service strongly preferred.
Ability to interact with community and team in a cheerful and friendly manner.
ServSafe certification preferred, but not required.
