The Recruiter owns OMBRA's full-cycle recruiting and new hire onboarding, sourcing and screening talent for technical and professional roles, guiding candidates through interviews and offers, and completing compliance requirements, IT setup, and Day 1 and Day 3 training steps so new hires start ready to contribute. SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Hiring teams receive a steady flow of qualified, well-summarized candidates, with interviews scheduled promptly, clear feedback provided, and weekly status updates delivered to management. Every offer, background check, E-Verify submission, and new hire form is completed accurately and on time, with finance informed of cost impact and all records securely maintained in Preveil. New hires start fully equipped and trained, with laptops and accounts ready on Day 1, Day 1 and Day 3 training documentation provided, and HUBZone verification secured. OBJECTIVES Source candidates through LinkedIn, Handshake, Ombra website and other channels, and maintain job postings and company pages. Screen applicants, summarize qualifications, and provide resumes and recommendations to hiring teams. Conduct behavioral interviews and provide structured feedback to hiring teams. Schedule and participate in technical interviews to provide hiring insight. Prepare and send offer letters using the company's standard format, adjusting for specific offer criteria. Advise finance of pending offers and their cost impact. Submit and review background checks through Checkr and follow up on results. Submit E-Verify data, review results, and resolve any mismatches. Set up new GoDaddy accounts, prepare laptops, and ship equipment to remote employees. Send new hire forms to candidates, track responses, and securely upload documentation to Preveil. Deliver Day 1 and Day 3 new hire training, track completion, and answer onboarding questions. Complete HUBZone reporting and related updates to management. Track annual training attestations and follow up on outstanding items. Provide weekly recruiting and onboarding status updates to management and hiring teams. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred, with SHRM-CP, PHR, or recruiting certifications considered a plus. 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in technical, engineering, government contracting, or defense environments, including onboarding and new hire compliance. Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Handshake, Checkr, E-Verify, and secure document platforms such as Preveil, familiarity with HUBZone requirements and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Excellent written and verbal communication and interviewing skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Starts as a 32 hour per week role with full benefits, transitioning to full time once onboarding is complete and responsibilities are fully handed off. Based at OMBRA's Potsdam, NY headquarters, with primarily office-based work involving extended periods of sitting and computer use. Ability to prepare, package, and ship laptops and equipment to remote employees, lifting up to 25 pounds.
