Staff Accountant Job Category: Accounting & Finance Requisition Number: STAFF001570 Posted: October 7, 2025 Full-Time On-site Fresno, CA 93701, USA Job Details Description Responsibilities Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource, and sustain improvement opportunities. This position is responsible for: Accounts Payable & Vendor Support Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely Support intercompany accounts payable processes across operating divisions Assist with new vendor setup within the AP system Support new product setup within the ERP system General Ledger & Financial Reporting Maintain general ledger accounting records to ensure integrity and timeliness Post various account entries (e.g., bi-weekly payroll registers, monthly vacation accruals) Perform month-end consolidation work, including intercompany elimination transactions Prepare monthly closing procedures as assigned by the Corporate Controller Handle account review and balance history status Prepare customer monthly reporting Prepare monthly donation reporting Prepare monthly milk marketing and various dairy-related reports Generate management reports to support variance reviews and daily cash management Assist with tax reporting, planning, and audit completion (internal and external) Systems & Process Improvement Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially advanced Excel functions Cross-train on all accounting processes and support other functions as needed Innovate and improve current processes to drive financial and operational efficiency Support both internal and external audit requests Other Duties Complete additional administrative tasks as required by the accounting department Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. BA/BS in Accounting and 5+ years of related experience Cost accounting in manufacturing environment Understanding of flows in manufacturing environment High proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Excel Proficiency with U.S. GAAP Preferred: CPA licensure or CPA eligible Experience with Great Plains general ledger Salary Range: $82,000-$92,000 Shehadey Family Foods offers its team members a team-oriented work environment, competitive salary, and an excellent benefit package including medical/dental/vision benefits and 401(k) retirement plan.
