As a Server, you are responsible for guiding guests through their dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, efficiency, and hospitality in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, knowledgeable about food and beverages, and committed to providing every guest with an outstanding experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with genuine warmth and enthusiasm.
• Guide guests through the menu by providing knowledgeable recommendations on food, wine, beer, cocktails, and daily specials.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Deliver exceptional table service while anticipating guests' needs throughout their dining experience.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of Terroni's menu, ingredients, preparation methods, seasonal offerings, and wine list.
• Ensure food and beverages are delivered promptly and accurately.
• Monitor tables throughout service to provide timely refills, clear courses, and address guest requests.
• Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with hosts, bartenders, food runners, bussers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections, side stations, and service areas.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when necessary.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Consistently uphold Terroni's commitment to exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, and cocktails, or a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays weighing up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving Italian cuisine and wines.
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar restaurant systems.
• Knowledge of wine service and food pairing.
• Current California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
• Food Handler Certification.
